DFAT is seeking a contractor to manage the Papua New Guinea Economic and Social Infrastructure Program Phase 2 (ESIP2), which aims to increase the availability of quality, inclusive, and sustainable economic and social infrastructure managed and operated by PNG national, subnational, and provincial agencies in partnership with local entities. ESIP2 will deliver outcomes that strengthen institutional capacity of targeted ministries and state‑owned enterprises for infrastructure policy, planning, procurement, financing, management, maintenance and private sector coordination; improve equitable, inclusive and safe access, participation and benefits for women, people with disabilities and marginalised groups; and ensure infrastructure meets high standards of climate change and disaster resilience to support GoPNG planning, delivery and maintenance. The program has a particular focus on power and telecommunications alongside social infrastructure, capacity building for infrastructure delivery, sectoral planning and management, and delivering or maintaining infrastructure to support other Australian sectoral and place-based programs.
