The Department is seeking a supplier for a review of Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for air conditioners to identify how best to calculate MEPS, determine what MEPS are appropriate, assess whether determinations can be consolidated, and identify any other considerations to update air conditioner determinations and NZ Energy Efficient Regulations. The scope includes consultation with key stakeholders about options, cost–benefit analyses of options for both Australia and New Zealand, and preparation of reports to support a consultation regulation impact statement.
