Alexandrina Council and the City of Victor Harbor are seeking a contractor to provide roadside grass slashing services to reduce roadside fuel loads in support of the Councils' Bushfire Prevention Program, maintain safe sight distances for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, protect council infrastructure and roadside assets, preserve native vegetation and environmentally significant roadside corridors, and minimise disturbance to adjoining landowners and road users. The successful Tenderer must comply with relevant legislation, Codes of Practice and industry standards, deliver value for money through efficient service delivery and continuous improvement in roadside vegetation management outcomes, and perform the Services in accordance with the requirements, conditions and technical specifications set out in Section D – Specifications; both Councils will enter into separate individual Agreements for Services with the successful Tenderer.
