About

The NSW Ombudsman, on behalf of the NSW Child Death Review Team, is seeking a supplier to provide statistical data expertise to support development of the Child Deaths in NSW Biennial Report (2024 and 2025). The supplier must deliver a detailed project timeline and resourcing, perform detailed statistical analyses of 15 years of trend data across the full dataset and individual reporting categories, and analyse trends across five key demographics for all deaths and categories. Deliverables include charts, graphs and underlying data files, calculation of summary statistics (averages, percentages and mortality rates) and statistical significance, quality assurance of statistical information and technical methods, regular progress reports and meeting agendas/minutes, clear and reproducible presentation of findings, and communication of technical information to non-technical audiences. The supplier will review and analyse data extracted from RCD and advise on and apply appropriate statistical methods as set out in the RFP.
