Tender: Two-Year Council Footpath Renewal Program – Removal and Replacement Works

Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake a two-year Footpath Renewal Program across various locations within the Council area to maintain a safe, functional and accessible pedestrian network. The program responds to routine inspections, condition assessments, customer requests and asset management planning that have identified footpath sections deteriorated beyond acceptable service levels, with defects such as cracking, displacement, surface deterioration, tree root intrusion, ponding and other conditions affecting safety and accessibility. Works will involve removal and replacement of identified footpath sections and ancillary works as required to achieve compliance with current engineering and accessibility standards. The successful contractor must provide all labour, plant, equipment, traffic management, materials and supervision and complete works in accordance with Council specifications, drawings, relevant Australian Standards and applicable legislative requirements. The contract is a schedule-of-rates arrangement to allow Council flexibility in delivering renewal works across multiple sites over the two-year period, with the extent and timing of individual work packages determined by Council's annual renewal priorities and available funding; Council will enter into an Agreement for Services with the successful tenderer.
