About

Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to supply and install approximately 1.5 km of water main from Lincoln Highway to the Whyalla Airport facility. The project will replace the existing asbestos cement water main with a modern, non-asbestos pipe material to improve the reliability and efficiency of the local water supply network, reduce the risk of unplanned outages, leaks and emergency repairs, minimise ongoing maintenance and lifecycle costs, and eliminate asbestos-containing material in the project area while ensuring compliance with current workplace health and safety and environmental requirements.
