Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage awarded a contract to Oasis Heritage Solutions (DAVIS, ANNABELLE BELINDA) for a desktop review and remapping of 95 Aboriginal heritage site files to correct spatial capture errors on the Register of Places and Objects.

Tasks included reviewing and analyzing 95 site files to determine suitability for remapping and to verify Register accuracy.
For sites suitable for remapping, the contractor submitted updates via ACHknowledge, including a BN to the Registrar proposing a remap with maps showing existing and proposed boundaries, and supplied a shapefile for each remapped site; the record-keeping spreadsheet was updated with the ACH Submission ID.
For sites not suitable for remapping, the contractor documented the rationale in the record-keeping spreadsheet.
The scope focused on desktop data remediation using ACHknowledge submissions and SCCPG processes, underscoring a targeted effort to correct legacy spatial data in the Aboriginal heritage register without field surveys.
