Mental Health Commission awarded a contract to Peer Based Harm Reduction WA Incorporated for the Community Take Home Naloxone Peer Delivery and Outreach Service.
The service includes Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Community Treatment Services - Overdose Prevention and Management and Peer Naloxone Education, provided through service agreement DAO023-13 since June 2013.
The aim is to reduce opioid overdose related harms and deaths and their impacts on the WA community.
This contract continues a long-standing partnership with a unique peer-based harm reduction organization, reflecting a strategic focus on community-led overdose prevention.
