About

Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management awarded a contract to Mr John Lennox for conducting a full initial inspection, a subsequent periodic inspection and a range practice audit of all shooting ranges operating in Tasmania within a three year period from commencement of the contract.

The inspections were carried out to assess compliance with the DPEM Range Specification Requirements for the following range types: Simulated Field (Australian Sporting) Shooting Ranges; Air Rifle & Handgun Shooting Ranges; Handgun, Rim Fire Rifle & Single Action Shooting Ranges; Indoor Shooting Ranges; Rifle Shooting Ranges; Shotgun Shooting Ranges; and Crossbow Ranges.

The contract covered initial, periodic and audit activities across all identified range categories to verify adherence to the department's specified requirements.
