Department of Health and Human Services awarded a contract to KP Health (Aust) Pty Ltd for an independent review of all specialist disability functions and services currently provided by Disability and Community Services in light of transition to a full-scheme National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The review assessed the specialist disability functions and services delivered by the department to determine their alignment and implications for the full-scheme NDIS transition.
Independent reviews were used to assess service alignment and system readiness during major policy transitions; specialist health consultancy firms with experience in disability service systems are commonly engaged for this type of work.
