Conducted WHS Research and Training Gap Analysis for Western Australian Building and Construction Industry

Construction Training Fund awarded a contract to Ernst & Young Perth (Ernst & Young) for conducting an environmental scan of the work health and safety (WHS) landscape in the Western Australian building and construction industry, including the prevalence of incidents, attitudes to safety and awareness of typical risks (including psychosocial risks).

The contract also required identification of what WHS training was available to construction workers and employers, assessment of what and how much training and services were being accessed and utilised, and identification of the resulting training gaps.

The research was to be compiled into a final report to the CTF that included a scan of the WHS landscape in the WA building and construction industry, attitudes and awareness of safety, common risks, and the prevalence of incidents (including psychosocial).
