About
Power and Water Corporation awarded a contract to Exact Contracting Pty Ltd for the construction of a dedicated hardstand area of approximately 25,000 square metres at the Alice Springs sewer ponds to provide storage for sludge that had been removed from the treatment ponds.
The works established an engineered surface for containment and storage of dewatered sludge associated with the wastewater treatment site.
The award reflected targeted investment in wastewater handling infrastructure at Alice Springs by providing a substantial (approx.
25,000 m²) dedicated storage surface for sludge from the treatment ponds, strengthening on-site sludge management capabilities.
