About
Department of Logistics and Infrastructure awarded a contract to Asbuild (NT) Pty Ltd for the construction of a 40‑bed Student Boarding Facility at Tennant Creek High School, Lot 1277, Town of Tennant Creek.
The contract scope included two residential buildings, each to accommodate 20 male and female student boarders; an administration building for staff office space and support services; a communal building with a commercial kitchen and dining space; landscaping works; all required headworks and engineering services infrastructure; all land and planning requirements, including statutory approvals and subdivision as required; and all required FF&E, including ICT equipment, loose furniture, kitchen equipment, linen and other items typically classified as 'group 3' FF&E, to enable the Boarding Facility to be fully operational.
The contract expressly excluded design of the service and operational model (including recurrent funding) and procurement of any third‑party service providers.
The contract combined building construction, infrastructure headworks, statutory approvals and full FF&E fit-out, reflecting an integrated capital‑delivery scope where operational service design and third‑party service procurement were deliberately separated from the construction contract.
