About
Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to Pennant Construction Pty Ltd (The Trustee for the Pennant Unit Trust) for upgrading the existing Nowergup Depot to accommodate increased fleet size and provide capacity for B-Series mid-life refurbishment.
The scope includes two separable portions: SP1 - extension to the northern end of the Wheel Lathe Road track with associated demolition, civil works, drainage, earth filling, track formation, track works, buffer stop installation, and shunter paths; SP2 - installation of shunter paths on Stow Roads 15 and 16.
This contract supports the expansion of rail maintenance capacity in Western Australia, reflecting ongoing investment in public transport infrastructure to meet growing demand.
