About

Queensland Rail is seeking a supplier to upgrade the fire protection systems in the Electric Locomotive Provisioning (ELP) sheds at Mayne Yard, Bowen Hills. The project covers seven ELP buildings (L, M, N, O, O1, P and Q) and involves replacement and upgrade of dry fire detection and alarm systems, emergency warning systems, smoke extraction and associated communications, cabling and infrastructure, plus testing, commissioning and handover. Works must be delivered within a live operational rail environment while Mayne Yard remains operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, requiring significant staging, access, isolation and operational interface arrangements and coordination with maintenance activities.
