About
Department of Health awarded a contract to Hazell Bros Group Pty Ltd for the construction of a temporary carpark (174 spaces) on the corner of Charles and Howick Streets to offset the loss of car spaces due to LGH Masterplan projects.
The scope also includes provision of temporary traffic signals at the intersection of Howick and Mulgrave Streets, which will remain until completion of the LGH multistorey carpark and a suitable roundabout design.
This contract reflects the Department of Health's proactive approach to managing parking disruptions during major hospital redevelopment, with Hazell Bros Group being a key infrastructure contractor in Tasmania.
