About
Main Roads Western Australia awarded a contract to Garli Pty Ltd for the construction of a raised pedestrian wombat crossing with wig-wag warning lights on Bulwer Street (SLK 0.6 to 0.7).
The contract scope included installation of an ACO slab drain on the northern verge, installation of signs and line marking, kerbing and brick paving of a median island, and excavation and installation of signal conduits.
The project combined pavement, drainage and signalling works typical of local road-safety upgrades, a delivery profile commonly undertaken by civil contractors with experience in kerbing, drainage and traffic-signal installations.
