Department of Fire and Emergency Services awarded a contract to Rare Creative Thinking (Rare Pty Ltd ATF The Services Unit Trust) for delivery of the 2026/27 Multi Hazard Awareness Campaign, a statewide campaign platform covering bushfire, cyclone, flood and storm hazards and a hazard-neutral 'always on' element.

The contract specified delivery of the 2026/27 campaign and included options to extend for years two (July 2027 – June 2028) and three (July 2028 – June 2029).

Under those extension provisions Rare was to work with DFES to refine the campaign approach based on any required adjustments to strategy, creative and media planning informed by results and evaluation of previous campaign periods; any changes to seasonal outlook in Western Australia or the natural hazards/emergency services environment; and potential requirement to align with a national 'Get Ready' preparedness framework that was in development and had begun rolling out in Queensland.
