About
Department of Education awarded a contract to The Literature Centre (The Literature Centre Inc) for the delivery of evidence-based, tailored literacy, writing and storytelling support services to Western Australian public schools.
The services targeted students belonging to low ICSEA schools in metropolitan and regional areas and were provided in accordance with the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy (DCSP).
The overall aim was to improve educational achievement in literacy, writing and storytelling for students in WA public schools.
The contract applied the DCSP partnership framework to engage a specialist community organisation for targeted, evidence-based literacy interventions in low-ICSEA metropolitan and regional schools, reflecting a partnership approach to address achievement gaps.
