About
Department of Communities and Justice is seeking legal service providers to join a panel across New South Wales to supplement internal capacity in two areas: Children's Court advocacy and advice and claims relating to legal entitlements. Sub-Panel 1 covers provision of legal representation on behalf of DCJ in Children's Court proceedings to enable DCJ to meet its statutory obligations under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 (NSW). Sub-Panel 2 covers review of documentation and advice on potential legal entitlements for children and young people in out-of-home care, including the lodgement of Victims Support Scheme claims when instructed by DCJ. The panel will provide ongoing access to specialist legal services that support vulnerable children and young people across New South Wales.
