About
Main Roads Western Australia awarded a contract to RIX GROUND ENGINEERING PTY LTD for the design and construction of 20 permanent soil anchors for Bridge 3195A on Waterhatch Road at SLK 9.31 in the Shire of Beverley.
A detailed inspection and capacity assessment had found several structural components to be in poor condition and in need of repair or replacement to maintain the bridge’s structural integrity.
Pier pile and wingwall repairs were completed earlier in the year, abutment pile repairs were being designed, and the installation of 20 permanent soil anchors was required and confirmed during the phase 2 design prior to undertaking the abutment pile repairs.
