Tender: Level 2 Condition Inspections for Bridges, Culverts, Boardwalks, Viewing Platforms and Wharves – Canterbury Bankstown Council

Canterbury Bankstown Council is seeking a supplier to undertake Level 2 condition inspections and full structural assessment reporting for its bridge and structural assets across the local government area, including 243 bridges and major culverts, 2.6 km of boardwalk (on ground and elevated over water), 24 viewing platforms and 4 wharves. Inspections must be carried out by RMS-trained Bridge Inspectors or qualified Structural-Bridge Engineers generally in accordance with the RMS/RTA (TfNSW/RMS) Bridge Inspection Procedure or an approved equivalent, and must identify and quantify current condition and projected deterioration of each component, produce full condition/structural inspection reports, rate components per the Level 2 procedure, collect detailed component-level defect data, and provide clear, prioritized and costed maintenance and renewal recommendations. The services must support lifecycle forecasting, risk management and long-term capital planning, ensure data consistency and asset identification for integration into Council asset management systems and GIS, and value component groups in line with Australian and NSW treasury and accounting standards.
