About

Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions awarded a contract to Magic Dirt Trailworx (The trustee for Tashi Delek Trust) for the design and construction of the Chuditch Link walk trail.

The contract covered delivery of detailed design and construction of an approximately 930 m one-way (1,860 m return) trail to join the Chuditch walk trail loop along the hillside of Murray Valley Road to follow the river, within a 50 m trail corridor.

The scope included specified hand-built sections as marked on the Chuditch Link walk trail concept map, installation of steps to deter mountain bike use and to address steep topography, and construction to an intended Class 3/Moderate standard with a 600 mm finished trail tread including switchbacks and steps where required.

The works were required to be designed and constructed in accordance with the WA Hiking Trail Management Guidelines 2024 and as directed by the Superintendent.
