About
Programmed Facility Management awarded a contract to Swan Group WA (Swan Group WA Pty Ltd) for the design and construction of a new Bayswater bus depot on behalf of the Public Transport Authority (Transperth).
The contract covered design, supply, delivery, installation, alterations, additions, testing, commissioning and warranty of all architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, communications, security, compressed air and fluids services as outlined in the Scope of Work & Technical Criteria and reference design drawings, and included electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment, systems and infrastructure to enable electric bus charging and depot operations.
Contracts combining building works with complex MEP and EV charging infrastructure tended to favour contractors with integrated design-and-construct capability and experience delivering depot facilities and electrification components, reflecting a transport-sector move toward electric bus operations.
