Programmed Facility Management awarded a contract to Perdaman Advanced Energy (Perdaman Advanced Energy Pty Ltd) for the design, supply, delivery, storage, installation and testing of a solar photovoltaic (PV), electrical, data and communications system and EV charging system at Munster TAFE (9 Gardiner Ave, Munster WA 6166) on behalf of the Department of Finance and the Department of Training and Workforce Development.
The scope included supply and installation of PV equipment, inverters, EV charging stations and an EV charging management system; solar system monitoring and control with remote web‑based statistics; low‑voltage distribution and protection relays; metering upgrades and switchboard modifications; associated data and communications integration with the SMT Munster IT network to allow staff and student access; coordination and applications with Western Power and other service providers; handling of STC rebate matters; roof access modification and certification by a licensed Safe Access Contractor; and obtaining structural engineering approval.
The contract specified a base 20 kVA PV system with an option cost for a 30 kVA system, and required all materials and installation to comply with Australian Standards and relevant codes.
Projects of this type required integrated PV, EV charging, electrical, structural and communications capability plus utility coordination and certification processes, so contractors delivering combined technical, compliance and network‑integration services were well suited to win such awards.
