About

Department for Energy and Mining awarded a contract to Endgame Analytics for specialist support to draft and deliver the midyear inaugural South Australian Electricity Development Plan.

The work involved building and maintaining a PLEXOS network model to support identification and analysis of the South Australian network, potential constraints, growth scenarios, and reliability and security challenges; modelling and analysing a five-year South Australian reliability outlook; supporting consultation with industry and South Australian energy stakeholders to develop growth/change scenarios and refine model inputs and assumptions; and working with the Director of Forecasting and Planning to build SA Government modelling capabilities, including handover or sharing of operational PLEXOS (and other as/if necessary) models that underpinned the Plan.
