About
Department of State Growth awarded a contract to Fulton Hogan Construction Pty Ltd for the Midland Highway 10 Year Upgrade North Section Project under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) model.
The project aims to upgrade the highway to a minimum AusRAP 3-star safety rating through road widening, alternating lane arrangements, safe turning facilities, and wide sealed shoulders.
The contractor contributed to design development and will execute construction of the final designs, including pavement repairs, drainage upgrades, sealing, line marking, safety barriers, signage, service coordination, land acquisition fencing, and minor accommodation works.
ECI contracts are increasingly used for complex infrastructure projects to leverage contractor expertise early, reducing risks and cost overruns.
