About
Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment awarded a contract to Tascon Constructions Pty Ltd for the fitout of two existing internal spaces to form new office accommodation and the construction of a new storage facility.
The works comprised new partitions, plastering, ceilings, joinery, plumbing, doors and hardware, floor coverings, painting, glazing and tiling, and the provision and installation of new electrical, mechanical, communications and security services.
The combined interior fitout and new-build storage scope indicated procurement of a contractor capable of both architectural finishes and integrated building services (MEP), a profile that tends to favour construction firms with fitout and services installation experience.
