About
Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources awarded a contract to URS Australia Pty Ltd for an investigation and reporting project that assessed the economic viability and environmental sustainability of proposals to minimise, process, value-add and/or otherwise utilise wood residues, with the objective of identifying solutions capable of commercial implementation in Tasmania.
The work distilled and evaluated proposals for reducing residue volumes, processing options, value-adding pathways and other utilisation approaches to determine commercially viable and environmentally sustainable options for the state's forest residues.
