Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts awarded a contract to MacroPlan Australia Pty Ltd for providing guidance to government and tourism industry stakeholders on key infrastructure investment opportunities for the public and private sector across areas including power, water and sewerage, telecommunications, roads, transport, new attractions, accommodation and other tourism-related products.

The contractor undertook a review which analysed gaps and opportunities in tourism infrastructure investment and identified infrastructure priorities intended to facilitate and support tourism investment in Tasmania in identified areas of need.
