About
Department of Premier and Cabinet awarded a contract to TasmaNet Pty Ltd for appointment as an additional supplier on the Networking Tasmania II (NTII) panel to provide Infrastructure Hosting Services and Wireless Connection Services.
The contract covered provision of a robust, secure physical hosting environment (building, racks, power, etc.) for government agencies to locate physical IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking equipment) and provision of dedicated, generally point-to-point, wireless IP connectivity between Government sites.
Suppliers appointed via this process were in addition to existing NTII suppliers and could be appointed for one or both service types.
Panel additions to NTII expanded the range of providers available to government agencies, reinforcing options for physical hosting and dedicated wireless links to support resilience and regional connectivity.
