About
Department of State Growth awarded a contract to Tasmanian Tours and Travel (Fleet) Pty Ltd T/A Tassielink Transit for the provision of a same-day return, two day per week trial general access bus service from the West Coast of Tasmania to the city of Burnie.
The trial was intended to provide a quality general access bus service allowing users reasonable time to attend appointments and conduct other business in Burnie and return the same day.
The trial was to be operated for a minimum period of 12 months and used to assess whether there was long-term demand for a return bus service from the West Coast to Burnie.
