Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment awarded a contract to ValueIt Pty Ltd for the provision of 2016 statutory valuation services for the Tasman Municipal Area.
The contract covered fresh valuations as at 1 July 2016 for about 3,600 properties across three valuation bases: Land Value, Capital Value and Assessed Annual Value.
ValueIt conducted statistical analysis, property reviews, investigations and inspections; prepared project plans, documentation and regular reports; and managed correspondence and reports arising from objections and queries, including preparation of proofs of evidence for court-related actions if required.
The agreement included an option to undertake supplementary valuations to 31 January 2017 on a fixed rate schedule of fees, covering the same valuation bases and associated correspondence and reporting, with potential preparation of proofs of evidence for court matters.
Large-scale statutory valuation contracts like this were awarded to specialist valuation firms able to deliver combined desktop and field assessments, handle objections and provide court-ready evidence; the fixed-rate supplementary option provided a defined mechanism to capture post-valuation changes and manage cost certainty.
