Cancer Australia awarded a contract to the University of Technology Sydney, represented by the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE), for the Health- and Pharmaco-economics (HE) National Technical Service (NTS).
CHERE will provide expert advice and support to Multi-site Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Groups for integrating health economics measures and sub-studies into investigator-initiated and industry-independent cancer clinical trial concepts and protocols, covering the period from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2027.
This contract leverages academic expertise to embed economic evaluation into publicly funded cancer trials, potentially improving cost-effectiveness data for future healthcare decisions.
