TasTAFE awarded a contract to KPMG for the provision of internal audit services under RFT 2025-12.

The engagement formed part of TasTAFE’s established internal audit program overseen by the TasTAFE Board, its Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Executive’s Risk and Compliance Committee.

KPMG was engaged to provide a wholistic internal audit service to complement the work of the Auditor‑General, to undertake internal audits assessing the adequacy of major operational systems and programs, to monitor management of identified strategic and operational risks, and to provide relevant advice to the TasTAFE Board and management.

TasTAFE is the largest public provider of vocational education and training in Tasmania, operating from a network of campuses including seven main campuses, and the internal audit function was described as part of its compliance framework for effective internal control and continuous improvement.
