Health Support Services awarded a contract to ISA Technologies (I.S.A Pty Ltd) for undertaking a discovery and review of all material developed to date for the Critical Health ICT Infrastructure Program (CHIIP), including the business case, OAG findings, dependent in‑flight projects/programs, program definitions/PIDs and meeting minutes.
Following the review, ISA determined the key priorities and objectives the architectural roadmap needed to support CHIIP Stage 2 delivery and defined macro- and micro-segmentation strategies, an approach to wireless, and recommendations on service delivery models (IaaS versus owner-managed).
ISA identified additional artefacts that would be required (policies, specifications, plans, risk assessments), developed a Network Security Architecture Framework for each category of Health Service Provider aligned to the determined priorities and to best-practice principles (agility, reliability, flexibility, resilience), and produced a live, prioritised Framework and Roadmap.
The Roadmap was evolved with clear technical milestones and a supporting maturity model aligned to the objectives and priorities, and was communicated and refined based on stakeholder feedback and other inputs.
Contracts of this type were typically awarded to specialist ICT and network-security consultancies capable of combining program-level discovery with detailed technical architecture work; the deliverables provided a prioritised, live Network Security Architecture Framework and maturity-aligned roadmap intended to inform CHIIP Stage 2 implementation and governance.
