About
Department of Premier and Cabinet awarded a contract to iiNet Limited for a Standing Offer arrangement under the Networking Tasmania (NT) III initiative to supply Connection services for the exclusive use of Tasmanian Government agencies and other eligible customers.
The arrangement replaced expiring connection arrangements and formed the second procurement in the Tasmanian Cloud - NT III series.
The contract covered Site-to-Network-Core and Site-to-Site connection services, including data centre interconnection services, and established a non-exclusive panel of suppliers intended to collectively offer a range of underlying technologies, service levels, customer-select options, security levels, and both fully-managed and unmanaged service models.
The Connection services were to be incorporated into and branded under the NT III Framework.
Panel standing-offer arrangements for government connectivity supported flexibility and choice by enabling multiple providers and a range of technologies and service levels, allowing agencies to select managed or unmanaged site-to-site and site-to-core connections under a single NT III framework.
