About
Canberra Health Services awarded a contract to Device Technologies for the purchase of a Corpuls CPR RecBoard Kit for the North Canberra Hospital (NCH) Emergency Department.
The device provided fully automatic, consistent and fatigue-free chest compressions during cardiac arrest resuscitation and had been extensively trialled by ACTAS and TCH, where it was accepted as the preferred mechanical CPR solution and subsequently procured for operational use.
Procuring the RecBoard Kit at NCH ensured compatibility with existing systems across ACTAS, TCH and NCH, supported clinical continuity, reduced transfer risks, and enabled staff to safely manage patients receiving mechanical CPR throughout their care journey.
The award reflected selection of a solution already validated through local trials and uptake by multiple services; standardising mechanical CPR equipment across pre-hospital and hospital providers supported interoperability and reduced patient transfer risk.
