The work comprised subgrade preparation by rip and recompact method using existing surface and batter material to form the road carriageway, followed by gravel resheeting over the constructed subgrade pavement works; sourcing, extraction, processing by blending or screening and import of compliant gravel materials; extraction and import of water; rip, re‑compaction and reformation of the roadway; and gravel re‑sheeting.
Works were conducted under traffic and table drains may have been utilised as side tracks.
