Department of Logistics and Infrastructure awarded a contract to GEBIE Civil and Construction Pty Ltd for repairs and maintenance of pavement and drainage on the NT Government-managed sealed Umbakumba Road on Groote Eylandt in the East Arnhem Region for a period of 36 months.
The contract comprised delivery of scheduled and responsive maintenance, including cyclical grading activities (Open, Maintenance, Invert and Full grading), storm-damage road and drainage repairs, and sealed rural road maintenance works such as edge-break repairs, surface pothole repairs, minor areas of sealing and sealed shoulder grading.
Other works consistent with the nature of the contract could be ordered at the discretion of the Superintendent.
