Forest Products Commission awarded a contract to WA Chip & Pulp & Plantation Resources (WA Chip & Pulp Co.
Pty Ltd and WA Plantation Resources Pty Ltd) for the sale of approximately 23,000 tonnes of Eucalyptus Globulus plantation timber from sharefarms and other government estate.
The timber was sold at the point of delivery, with all harvest and haulage responsibilities retained by the FPC.
This contract reflects the FPC's ongoing role in managing and commercializing state-owned plantation resources, with WA Chip & Pulp being a major regional buyer of hardwood timber.
