About

Department of Treasury and Finance awarded a contract to Printlinx Pty Ltd for the purchase of the Printing Authority of Tasmania, a State‑owned commercial printing business.

The Printing Business provided high‑quality sheet‑fed and digital colour printing services to Parliament, government departments and government‑owned businesses, generated approximately $8 million in annual turnover and employed about 50 staff.

Digital colour printing operations were based in Hobart’s Central Business District and sheet‑fed printing facilities were located at the Technopark industrial site north of Hobart.

The sale followed the Government of Tasmania’s 2007 Budget announcement of its intention to sell the Printing Authority and progressed via an expressions of interest process managed by the State’s sale adviser.
