The Rivers and Water Supply Commission was constructing the Meander Dam under a Permit to Undertake Dam Works, which required suitably qualified and experienced experts to (1) assess potential erosion in the Huntsman Saddle area and (2) monitor seepage loss from the dam storage area.
Pitt & Sherry was engaged to develop a work program addressing those requirements and to undertake the assessments and monitoring prior to the commencement of reservoir filling, which was expected about the end of July 2007.
