About
PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA awarded a contract to Becton Dickinson Pty Ltd for the supply of up to two automated systems for mycobacteria culture and susceptibility testing, replacing aged assets at the QEII Site.
The systems are fully automated for detection, recovery, and drug susceptibility testing of mycobacteria from clinical specimens, with capacity to manage over 15,000 specimens per annum.
The contract includes a comprehensive post-warranty service agreement with phone support within one hour and onsite support within four hours.
Becton Dickinson is a leading supplier of diagnostic microbiology systems, and this contract reflects PathWest's ongoing investment in automated laboratory infrastructure to improve efficiency and safety in high-containment facilities.
