East Metropolitan Health Service awarded a contract to Powervac Pty Ltd for the supply of a range of cleaning equipment and associated accessories for Mount Lawley Hospital.

The contract covered the purchase of specified quantities of items including seven Floor Vacuum (HEPA); two Wet & Dry Vacuum 75L; four Cordless Brushless Stick Vacuum Kits; four Backpack Vacuums; three Stand Up Floor Scrubbing Machines; four Stand Up Battery Scrubbers; four Walk-Behind Floor Scrubbing Machines; two Carpet Cleaning Machines with hand tool; one Mini Carpet Extractor with upholstery tool; two Battery Operated Burnishers; two Floor Polishers; one Soiled Linen Tug; fifteen Cleaning Trolleys; ninety mop poles (various colours); forty buckets; forty wet floor signs; ten mop velcro replacement strips; sixty mop quick-connect feet; sixty mop bucket clips; twenty disinfection pails; and any required accessories.

The contract required a minimum two-year warranty for the equipment and associated accessories, provided optional post-warranty service and maintenance for up to five years for a specified subset of machines (including floor vacuums, wet & dry vacuums, cordless stick vacuums, backpack vacuums, stand-up and walk-behind scrubbers, carpet cleaning machines, the mini carpet extractor, battery-operated burnishers, floor polishers and the soiled linen tug), and included training of Mount Lawley Hospital staff on those listed pieces of equipment.

The procurement documentation also noted that EMHS retained sole discretion to determine the final number and type of items procured based on offers received.
