Moira Shire Council awarded a contract to Mastec Australia Pty Ltd for the supply and delivery of custom colour and custom print compostable bags that comply with AS 4736.
The contract was part of a panel arrangement established in partnership with Benalla Rural City Council, Greater Shepparton City Council, Strathbogie Shire Council, and Rural City of Wangaratta, with Moira Shire Council tendering on behalf of the five Councils.
Each Council will manage its individual contract with successful panel members.
This panel arrangement allows multiple councils to leverage collective purchasing power for compliant compostable bags, streamlining procurement and ensuring environmental standards are met across the region.
