About
PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA awarded a contract to Roche Diagnostics Australia Pty Ltd for the supply of up to two high throughput extraction instruments, post-warranty service and maintenance, and associated reagents, consumables, and accessories.
The instruments are intended for the Molecular Diagnostics Section to purify DNA and RNA from clinical samples for infectious disease detection.
The first instrument will replace two existing MagNA Pure LC instruments at Fiona Stanley Hospital, with an option to purchase a second instrument to replace the existing MagNA Pure 96 at the same site.
The head agreement allows for as-required orders of consumables and maintenance services.
Roche Diagnostics is a dominant supplier in molecular diagnostics, and this contract reinforces PathWest's reliance on their extraction platforms for high-volume infectious disease testing.
