About
Department of Premier and Cabinet awarded a contract to AECOM Australia Pty Ltd for work with three coastal communities and their councils — Triabunna and Orford (Glamorgan Spring Bay Council) and Adventure Bay (Kingborough Council) — to raise awareness of their vulnerability to current and emerging coastal hazards such as erosion, inundation and associated severe storms.
The project identified community preferences for managing those hazards, assessed critical infrastructure (including access) and services that would be impacted by current and future extreme coastal hazard events, and worked with the Municipal Emergency Management Committee to recommend emergency management responses and recovery plans for the identified impacts.
