Power and Water Corporation awarded a contract to Australian UAV Pty Ltd for the inspection of transmission structures across the Northern Territory over a 36-month period.

The contract covered inspection of PWC’s portfolio of transmission structures, including 66 kV and 132 kV lattice towers, guyed towers, concrete and steel poles, and A-frame and I-beam structures operating in harsh environmental conditions.

Australian UAV was required to capture high-resolution RGB and thermal aerial imagery, identify defects and anomalies, and deliver comprehensive inspection reports with mapped results in ArcGIS or an approved alternative platform.

Inspection activities were to be undertaken in accordance with a referenced guideline document; the supplier could propose additional inspection activities to enhance condition assessment, and any proposed deviations from the specified scope or guideline were to be clearly identified and supported with justification.
