About

PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA awarded a contract to NC Electrical and communications pty ltd (NC Electrical and communications) for electrical infrastructure upgrades and modernisation at J Block, QEII Medical Centre.

PathWest was custodian of three buildings at the QEII site, with J Block dating to the 1980s; the building's electrical infrastructure was described as no longer suited to the demands of a modern 24‑hour, 7‑day laboratory and office space.

The contract required a suitably qualified and experienced electrical contractor to complete the scope as described in the Request and by the BCA Electrical Consultant in the document package.

The work comprised updating electrical switchboards and mains throughout the building.

Final sub‑circuit migration to the new distribution boards was explicitly excluded from this contract.
